Zimbabwe Squad for Sri Lanka ODI 2022: Hello, Good Morning from the Cricbails Family. Zimbabwe Cricket Board announced the squad for the Sri Lanka tour for the 3 One Day match series. The Board reappointed Left-handed batter Craig Ervine as the captain of the Zimbabwe team for the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.

Craig Ervine will continue to lead Zimbabwe for their upcoming three-match ODI series away to Sri Lanka after leading the team in the white-ball cricket on their tour to Ireland and Scotland in August-September last year.

Tinotenda Mutombodzi, who donned the Zimbabwe colors in the tour of Bangladesh in March 2020, has made a comeback to the national team after a gap of nearly two years. While Sikandar Raza, Sean Williams, Tendai Chatara, Wellington Masakadza, and Blessing Muzarabani formals the core of the team alongside their experienced captain Craig Ervine.

Zimbabwe’s 15-man squad includes the uncapped duo of opening batter Takudzwanashe Kaitano and wicketkeeper Clive Madande, while all-rounder Tino Mutombodzi has returned to the national side.

The three matches which are a part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League will be played on January 16, 18, and 21 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy.

Zimbabwe is currently the 14th ranked ODI team in the ICC rankings with 764 points and they’ll be looking to earn some points from this series in Sri Lanka as last year was tough on them with four games lost out of six with one game being called off.
