BCCI Medical team gave the green signal to KL Rahul for the forthcoming three-match ODI Series against Zimbabwe. Shikhar Dhawan who has been appointed as Captain for this tour is now will be Vice Captain of the team as KL Rahul named Captain in absence of full-time Captain Rohit Sharma.
KL Rahul hasn’t played any International match since February 2022 because of Injury and Health Concerns. Right after the Indian Premier League, he was appointed as Captain for five T20I matches series against South Africa but he missed the whole series due to a groin injury.
As KL Rahul required surgery to get out of from groin injury so he missed Ireland and England tours as well later he was selected for the West Indies tour but he tested positive for COVID so he missed the West Indies tour too.
Rahul will play three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe kicking off on 18th august and in the last week of August, he will play Asia Cup 2022 as he is already named in the India Asia Cup squad.
All the matches of the ODI series against Zimbabwe are scheduled to play at Harare Sports Club, Harare.
