Former Indian pacers “Chakda Express” Jhulan Goswami joined Mumbai Indians for the inaugural season of WPL (Women’s Premier League 2023) as Bowling Coach and Mentor.
WPL players Auction is set to begin in the second week of February, so teams started building their support staff ahead of the inaugural season which is scheduled to be played in March 2023. A few days ago Gujarat Giants signed Mithali Raj as their mentor for WPL.
Now Mumbai Indians signed Jhulan Goswami as their bowling coach and mentor for WPL Mumbai-based team.
Jhulan Goswami, who announced her retirement from International cricket last year is set to begin her career in a new role for Mumbai.
The Women’s Premier League was officially announced earlier this month by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), and five out of 17 bidders were successful in their bids. The Mumbai-based franchise was purchased by Indiawin Sports Pvt. Ltd. for INR 912.99 crore, out of a total bid of INR 4669.99 crore.
