Hello, a warm welcome from the deck of CricBails, BCCI (The Board of Control for Cricket in India) has announced Team India’s upcoming home series schedule against Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and Australia.
Team India will play a total of 19 matches over the course of three months before departing for the IPL 2023. There will be 6 T20Is, 9 ODIs, and 4 Tests among the 19 matches. The tests will be included in the World Test Championship. ODIs, on the other hand, will serve as a warm-up for the ODI World Cup in 2023.
To play the 19 matches, as many as 17 different venues have been chosen. Mumbai and Ahmedabad are the only venues that will be repeated. While Mumbai will host the first T20I and first ODI against Sri Lanka and Australia, respectively, Ahmedabad will host the third ODI and fourth Test against New Zealand and Australia.
The home series will not only feature senior players for the majority of the matches but will also provide an opportunity for the young guns to advance in the international arena. So, while we wait for the games to begin, let’s take a look at the official schedules for all three series.
India vs Sri Lanka 2023 Schedule:
The Sri Lanka Cricket team will tour India for three T20Is and three ODIs Matches series. Sri Lanka will play their 1st game of the tour on 3rd January 2023 and the last game of the tour is set to be played on 15th January 2023.

The action will then move to a three-match ODI series against New Zealand wherein Hyderabad, Raipur and Indore will play the hosts. The second ODI on 21st January will be a marquee ODI for the city of Raipur as they will host their first international fixture. Team India will also play a three-match T20I series against New Zealand.

India vs Australia 2023 Schedule:
The Mastercard Australia tour of India for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will kickstart in Nagpur on the 9th of February. Team India will then play the next three Test matches in Delhi, Dharamsala & Ahmedabad. This will also be the last edition of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy which will be a 4-match Test series feature.

So that’s the official schedule for India’s home series against Australia, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka in 2023. The hosts are back with another action-packed series. Given the injury concerns, it will be interesting to see who Team India selects for all of these series. Most likely, a junior team will face off against Sri Lanka. The seniors, on the other hand, should be available for the Australia series and the ODIs against New Zealand.
