Australia Men’s Team has a busy 2022-2023 home year ahead of them. The Covid-19 postponements will add to an already strained international calendar that includes a T20 World Cup.
Australia will host West Indies (2 tests) and South Africa (3 tests) in a major red-ball season later in the year. The Test season will start in Perth, not Brisbane. The second Test against WI is a one-day affair in Adelaide. South Africa will host the first three matches at the Gabba, before taking on the highly-coveted Boxing Day or New Year Tests.
There are three limited-overs series against Zimbabwe (3ODIs), New Zealand (3ODIs), and West Indies (T20Is), before three T20Is, three ODIs against England, and three T20Is. After the third ODI against England, the Test season begins.
The dates of the ODI series against South Africa, which will take place in January, are not confirmed. Cricket South Africa requested that the dates be reconsidered. However, Nick Hockley, Cricket Australia CEO, stated that they were “unable to find alternate dates as yet”.
“We will be hosting six of the most popular touring countries to Australia this season in addition to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Hockley said that it promises to be an amazing summer. “We are thrilled that Test cricket will return to Perth Stadium to face the West Indies after nearly three years without international cricket. We also look forward to hosting South Africa on Boxing Day and New Year, for the first time since 2008.
“After being impacted for two years by the pandemic,” the 2022-23 Australian men’s soccer team will be busy as they honor their commitments to the ICC Future Tours Program. This gives us the opportunity to qualify for the ICC World Test Championship Final and build up for ICC Men’s One-Day World Cup India 2023.
The women’s team will be hosting Pakistan for three ODIs and three T20Is in January.
